Go for it. Sorry I didn't itemize it all or sectionalize or arrange it, hahahaha, you know what I mean. Hope you have fun. Next time I'll take my time and have it laid out a bit more clearly for you all, can't wait to hear your input.

I put down a bass line in the first and last parts and left the middle alone. i'm working on some guitar parts now. I'll send the guitar and bass in separete mp3 files so you can mix them in separetly and edit them as you see fit ( or not use parts of) This may be the first psycho-billy-hip-hop-blue grass tune. we may just invent a new genre   I will send you the parts in a few days and you can add to it and maybe re-post it if you see fit at that point to see if any one else wants to add to it :?: -the dog

When you say this.. Are there already lyrics for this? or is this an original without lyrics?

When the tracks complete I wouldnt mind taking on this part. I say complete cause I would like to figure out the best times to be vocalizing.

Did that makes sense?

Let me know.

I cant seem to add a single thought withing a single post today.

Would it be better to just record vocals before the instrument stuff is done? Then use the editing software and let the editor decide when and what needs to come into play?

I'm new to the mixing, editing side of things so forgive me if thats a dumb question. LOL

I think this is kind of a free form type thing, so that would be cool 8) may not need lyrics in the traditional sense, but you could probably come up with something interesting :D -the dog

you can do it either way, but I'll e-mail you what i have done with my added bass and guitar tracks in a few days so you can get a feel for how its going and you can record the vocal/voice part and send the vocal track to moedecker and he can mix it in as he likes :D --the dog

Hi guys. Nice of you to participate. This one is a lot of fun because it is kind of a psycho babble with a tiny part of direction. Actually there are vocals for this but I welcome any new input on this. If it helps for a start, the vocals are basically in the beginning and end of the song and the middle is a free form jam. You could add a kazzoo for all I care. Anything that stretches the limits of your imagination in this one. Man have fun  :!:

Hey guys. Dont give up on me. heh I got the equipment I needed to start fiddling around with recording. I'm going to work on my part of the slo blues in G the remainder of this week and then I hope to contribute to Rider this weekend. I still have to get used to my mic, Audacity, and the USB device I bought. I did work on some vocal last weekend though.

I ended up with the M-Audio Mobile Pre USB. Has two Channel 1 inputs, two channel 2 inputs, and two XLR mic inputs. Seems pretty nice. I recorded over the whole of the Slo Blues G BT Last night and it was so clear compared to recording on the PC mic, obviously. I am having a little trouble with vocals. I recorded some and it sounded ok but I am not sure how to equalize the levels so that I dont get louder and softer all the time. Not sure if this is something Audacity can help me with or not.
