I'm really happy the way this turned out. This was my first online collab and I was pleased to see how smoothly it worked and the quality of the finished product, and no one tracked me down and pulled my hair because I sucked it up, as in my dream.

I can't listen to that much Wagner. I start getting the urge to conquer Poland.

Thanx Shift. When you mentioned smooth it kinda reminded me. I was listening to a tune I've been working on and I realized how much Santana influence there is in my playing. Almost too much as I haven't listened to any Santana in a long time. I hope I can break out of that. Anyway thanx.

It's interesting how everyone hears music differently. When I heard Hueseph's solo, I almost crapped my pants. I thought hueseph's was really Eastern / Arabic sounding, and really kickass. I sent him 3 emails, while I was editing, about it. What's even more amazing, and I hope hueseph doesn't mind me saying it, is that there isn't thousands upon thousands of dollars in gear on this track.

Shift -- my track was recorded through a smokey amplifier ( http://smokeyamps.com/ ), straight into audacity. I used audacity's delay, which was real nice. Also added some compression, tremolo, and flange. Some noise removal too. Then at the end, I de-amplified it a little, because I wasn't watching the levels when recording, so it went over 0db a bit.

It's ok. I'm a Dad. I'm not gonna be seeing a lot of money for a while. Thanx for the complements all. I personally thought everyone put out a valiant effort. The key in this one wasn't an easy one to snag. It's in E (I think) but a standard E pentatonic just doesn't seem to fit. *shrug* :?:

E Phrygian should work most of the time. Yeah, it is hard.

Yeah harmonic minor. I suppose diminished would sound cool too.
