Come on folks, only one slot left for this team.

If you're a youngun, lets have a go at this "old 80's style - heavy metal" track and get to understand how today's music get to be what it is.

If you're middle aged, then this is from your growing pains era. Have a shot at it and remember some of your best times.

If you're a geezer (like me), come and show those younguns how it was done "back in the days", when music was done for the sake of the art, not to make money.

Did I stir the pot enough now?
I'm just waiting for the shnootz to hit the fan!

So guys?
How are things coming along? Inquiring mind wants to know.

No pressure here, I just want to let you know I'm here if you need any help or have any questions.

I'm working myself on some ideas for the full track. I must say section #2 is giving me a headacke.
It sounds cool as it is and it's not easy to find something that will fit over that repeating pattern.
I'm actually trying to develop the chops to double that repeating pattern.
Wasn't easy to figure out the notes played there, and quite less easy to play'em the same.
I got the 1st pattern going OK now but just can't seem to be able to change fast enough, and precise enough, for the second pattern. A toughy for sure!

So Alouden, I hope you got the damage control at full speed for that part. Can't wait to hear what you'll come up with.
And Crank-N-Jam, khelbanzon and Smokindog, hope everything is coming along smoothly for you guys too!

I'm available here, thru PM or at my email address, your choice.
Let me know if there's any problem.

Cheers
Yves

I'm sure it's all gona be pretty fine Ken.
Actually, it might be very interesting to put some country licks over that backing.
What I said previously about this track being "epic metal" style didn't mean that you guys have to comply with my initial impressions.

If your preffered style is more "country" then you might very well take this backing and bring it to a total different level by throwing some nice country licks in there. And there would be absolutely nothing wrong with that.

I view these jams as much as a way to practice our chops as an outlet for our musical inventiveness.
So let it all out and let your musical muse be your guide. :)

 Bet that "Dry County" title threw ya, didn't it, Dog? Like I said, don't blame me for the title of the BT......

You will do something fitting. You're very versatile, from everything I've heard.

I probably won't have anything recorded until this weekend at the earliest. I'm updating the soundcard in my PC and want to use the new card to record.

I've got a couple of ideas that I played around with though. I'll just have to play around and see how they come across over the track.

I'd love to give it a go as well (brilliant BT, TCO!), but I'm currently commited to the Funk Jam and apparently I couldn't do funk if my life depended on it

Sometimes changing style for a little while will help you out when you comeback to the initial style you were working on. It will click eventually, from a refreshed mind. :)

By the way, don't blame me for this BT, it's all Margarets's fault.
I'm just the host for it.
Still, it is a great BT.
