Guys AND Gals.

I'm inviting you to a duel of songs. This may be a first and very well might be the last.

What I want to do is host a jam. If there are enough volunteers/participants what I propose is to have the song replicate into separate jams.

Now to confuse the issue more, I would like teams to form. I need 4 people to a team and we can have as many teams as you want.

You can pick amongst you who you want for your team. When you have completed your team, post which time slot you want in the song. If we have more than one team (4 players) I will host the second song and as many times as you come up with 4 players we keep doing it.

Then we can post all the variations of the song and who knows from there.

If you don't like that idea then we'll just do it status quo. :P

This is for everyone, not just the brave. I seriously would like to be able to present 5 or 6 variations of this jam. I hope everyone who can post a part will participate.

You can d/l the jam here.

GNJAM

I have the song broken down into roughly the correct seconds for each part.

..0-----------45
.45---------125
125--------204
204--------END

They are short segments so it should entice everyone to want a piece of this. Come and get it. Free refills. :D

Yet another challenge (and a little more up my alley than the metal jam). I'm up for it. I need to break the Tele in right!

Can I have the second spot on someones team?

With a team, does each segment have four-part harmony, or...each member of a team gets a segment or...

I'm thinking each member of a team does one 40-second segment, so four team members will complete one version of the jam.

Regardless how many teams of four there are, Bish will serve as editor to make multiple versions of the jam. So if a hundred players sign up to play, Bish is going to be one busy boy!

Am I understanding it correctly, Bish?

Okay try this.

Margaret you take the first segment. Dan takes the second. Celt takes the third and Greg takes the forth. That makes up the song. Done.

Now some others want to join in. So now this time Dan takes the first segment. Celt takes segment two. CnJ takes third and I take fourth. That would be a second take.

Mix it up again or get new/more players to combo up. Any 4. Any order/segment.

Once any 4 get together, work your parts and send them to me.

What I need to know is who you are working with. You can even collaborate amongst yourselves first even. No limits to what TEAM work could accomplish.

So you'll need to identify who is your team and which song and which segment you are doing. For example, in my first sentence it would be Margaret, Dan, Celt and gnease. That's team 1 or song 1. Once 4 more players combo up that would be another song/team or song 2.

As long as 4 players hook up, we can keep this jam alive. The only stipulations I'll make is I can close or cancel this at anytime (would be for personal time constraint reasons) and if you participate in more than one, you can't reuse any previously submitted segments. New and original each time.

I hope this helps.

Ah, okay!

I always wondered why backing tracks would normally only be used for one jam and then you'd never hear it again.

Cool!

As an annoucement. I'll only jump on a team if you can't find a fourth.

Okay, I'll jump in. Looks like we have:

gnease
Celt
Crank-N-Jam (wants a 2nd segment)
Dan T

Kalle_in_Sweden
DemoEtc
TBA
and Bish to make a 4th if no one else joins.

I could take any segment, so it looks like one and three-quarter teams as of right now.

Since gnease, Celt, CNJ and Dan T were the first to jump in, they could perhaps be called Team One at this point.

Oh, on a side note: Whenever I hit record on Audacity, it automatically brings up a stereo track. Is there a way to force it to bring up a mono track or do I just leave it, or separate the tracks before sending my part in?

Thanks

Yah, some C6 will do it I think!

I guess the first four will arrange amongst themselves, and then us four.
