Yeah, I chickened out & buried my part in effects, sorry.

I liked dogbite's & smokindog's parts, but hey Gabba, your part was awesome! 8)

Well done everyone. :D

I don't think you chickened out at all. I thought it needed extremely off the wall effects, and I was the one too chicken to try 'em. Well, too chicken to share 'em.

Hey that was pretty wild!!!

Dan, my original intention was almost exactly what you did - heavy psychedelic effects, esp. some funky wah wah. Cool.

Dogbite, you've got the TONE. Nice.

Smokingdog, that was blistering!!! Glad you're fingers didn't need surgery!!!

LOL, that nutcracker music has always creeped me out, for some reason. Must be the dancing rats ...

yea, pretty wild stuff. this was an unusual jam track. it took me a while to figure it out. then it was pretty straight forward.

I am not sure if I like the sound seffects I added at the beginning and end. that may change since I goofed up smokingdog's part....I loaded the wrong track. so I will edit and repost the jam with dog's new track. that said, I love smokingdog's track on THIS take. it is fierce and wacked. it reminds me of Frank Zappa.
DanT's track is loaded with effects. his guitar is in there somewhere. GabbaGabbaHey's track is too cool. love the tone, clarity of idea, and who cannot but enjoy the refference to those dancing rats. and my track, well...I started out with a ton of effects, but one by one I removed them, being unsatisfied. I ended up with a clean track. I guess that is what I do of late.
I tried to mix it up and play up and down the fretboard for variety.

well done everyone. wait for the new jam with smokingdog's licks.

here is the new version of the Winter Solstice jam.
same line up, however, I added the track that smokingdog intended.

I will leave the first Solstice jam intact and posted.

Wow! I'm floored by what you guys came up with. When I listened to the BT I drew a total blank.
Turns out there are all kinds of cool things you can play over it.
Great job.

Nice job guys! I had no earthly Idea what to do with this one at first :?: This sort of reminded me of star trek. Don't ask me why  I had been listening to William shantners beat poetry(Sarah Palin's resignation speech).Any who...after playing along with the BT about 50 times (on record) I thought I had a sort of reasonable take. From there I did a lot of creative editing. Still sucks but thats the best I can do at this point. It was lots of fun :D
I have to admit even though Randy put the wrong track down at first, it really did sound sort of cool 8) Hmmm..I have been listening to a lot of Zappa plays Zappa on You-tube
Dan...I loved all those little fast notes you did Good tone also 8)
Randy...Very nice mellow groove 8) Sorta fits the 60's theme :D
gabba....You get first place :D This was well thought out. I'm thinking variation of "Hall of the Mountain King" You kinda stole it the same way Rick Wakeman did for "Jourrny to the Center of the Earth". Or not, It could be my imagination :D
