I'm going to get something recorded today, whether I like it or not! :)

OK, maybe not! I just can't seem to get this one down. It ends up sounding like some blues licks with distortion! :)

For those that think metal is easy, try it some time! :)

No metal is not easy :P

We need more metal jams. I got bored today and decided to play over the track, not in the jam anymore but it was fun. Plus I'm working through Troy Stetina's Metal Lead Guitar book and had to apply the knowledge to something.

Anyway, curious to see how it turns out. And let's get more hard rock/metal jams on here!

Thanks dog.

I only did the slow part and just followed the beat(not sure if you're supposed to do that or not). Any resemblence to other people's ideas is purely coincedental.

Cool 8) I think You do good with a backing track. Its a really good learning tool for you. I don't play metal as a rule, but I like to paint out side of the lines sometimes  --ken

I will not give up though! I'll continue to work on my part this week.

How are the rest of you coming along?

OK, I've got something recorded. :) I'm not happy with it at all though, so I'm going to try a few more things before sending it in. If nothing else works, at least I have something to send in. :)

You'll have something in your email tomorrow night at the latest Kalle!

I'm with OWA I'd like to see more hrad/metal rock on here. I haven't played much of that stuff other than a couple Disturbed songs and a Deftones awhile back but I'd really like to try.

I just bought the new Guitar World mag and this issue is all about shredding so maybe I'll try a few lessons out of it.

This is a Metal lesson site http://www.metalriffs.com/index.htm we all should have seen before we started this collaboration jam. It´s a link from Richocet.

My guess is that the two parts still missing will be open again for anyone to join in.
Anyone temped ?

I wouldn't assume that yet. Some people just take alittle longer to get their parts done for various reasons. I wouldn't bump anyone until you hear from the person who is signed up already. They should give you updates to let you know they haven't forgotten and are still interested though.

Kalle, I'm going to redo my part anyway. I was listening to it again last night and, um, it sucks. :) I'm going to borrow an amp or pedal from someone so I can get a heavier sound and record again.
