I'v been recording my crappy 3-chord for quite some time now, and feel the time is right for me to enter the world of online collaborations. :)

Click http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=383047 for the jam track. I recorded the guitar parts myself and the drums (of which kinda serves the purpose as a click track) is MIDI.

I have no clue what key its in since I have no clue about music theory.... literally nothing!

The parts that need jamming over are as follows:

00.14 - 00.27 = taken by The Celt (and recieved)
00.40 - 01.05 = taken by jasonrunguitar (and recieved)
01.07 - untill track ends = taken by Saber

I know its not a long track, but this is the first time i am attempting anything like this and i'd like to see how things pan out.

I've got punk/hardcore stuff too, so if this goes well i'll be coming back here with more tracks. It'll be cool to hear clever bluesy solo's over my dumb powerchords :)

Cheers,
Mark

Hey Mark, the backing track sounds like a lot of fun! This would be my first online collaboration too, but I'd love to jam with you...if it's still open, I'd like the .40 - 1.05 part. You're right, it could be a bit longer so there would be more time to develop some ideas...but I see what you mean about keeping it simple for the first one...I'll just have to make each note count

Hi Mark,

Welcome to GuitarNoise and Online Jams.

That is one good jam track you got there.

I'll take .14 to .27 if that's OK and
try to do something "bluesy" over .

John

ITS FINISHED!!!

its in my soundclick profile ( http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=383047 ) and is entitled "introducing the untold (guitarnoise jam)"

i ended up changing a few things here and there:

00.12 - 00.28 = taken by The Celt
00.39 - 01.05 = taken by jasonrunguitar
01.05 - 2.06 = me (i added in this bit)
02.06 - untill track ends = Saber

everyones contribution sounded greeeat, and i really enjoyed doing this :) thanks for being patient, and being brilliant musicians. also thank you smokingdog, whose guide to online collaborations made this experience very efficient and easy :)

cheers to all,
mark :)

That was great!

Not the type of thing I usually play or listen to
but I like the sound of this.

Thank you for letting me participate.

Keep Jammin'

John

PS Saber you sound great. I was hoping to give you
your Jam debut.

I guess I got beat to the punch. Oh Well

Haha, thanks celt. If I can't play a solo, I might as well rock out on a whistle, a bass line, and a few sound effects.
