How's it going with everyone else?
Thank you I'm fine
Oh, you mean with the playing? Not too well I'm afraid. I'm experiencing a periodical drop in guitar motivation - have barley touched a guitar the last week
But I am still determined to come up with something to this jam - I guess over the weekend

Got the basic ideas down and cleaning up the playing now. Also, I am playing around with some of those Zoom G2 patches you mentioned to me. I'll have mine done this weekend.
Anything I can do guys, just shout. (Not that I'd be a great help, but the offer's there )
Bish: anything specific?

If you would care to just finish my phd thesis, pick up my kids at school, attend a meeting for me tonight, pay my electricity bill, and buy flowers to my wife it'd be great! :-)

No problemo!
I am feeling a little pressured, but not by you! I have been using Ableton Live, that came with my Toneport. Its the only recording software I know. BUT, I just found out that I can't import an Mp3 file!?!?! So, I downloaded Audicity and am frantically trying to learn how to use it. I am having trouble recording a new track - the program records my guitar, but it also records the backing track on my new track. Will have to figure the bugger out!
With all that going on, I honestly haven't spent much time coming up with my part yet! Should get it done over the weekend.
Ahh, I saw that thread but didn't reply as I have no clue at all about Toneports or Ableton - couldn't even pick them out of a line-up
Audacity's quiet easy, the recording the backing track on the new track is one checkbox in the options, which funnily enough I was explaining this morning :) https://www.guitarnoise.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30349&
If you're more comfortable with Ableton though, you could convert the MP3 to a WAV with Audacity quite easily - Load up the MP3 and 'Export As WAV' is in the file menu.
Thanks for the information! I will try both and see which works for me. 8)
Bish: anything specific?
Yes, specifically I need an idea to work from. :|
