i am having trouble of what type of style of rock i want play, for example jimi pages pentatonic blues riffs or like dave mustaines melodic and exotic scales he uses (i really like dave mustaine). but what im trying to say is that i have discovered what music i want to play alone or with a band, something thats very enjoyable to me. but dont get me wrong anything that envolves guitar is enjoyable. i just need help on this can some give some hints, advice, examples anything.
Probably you have to find the solution by yourself... I mean, if you play music just for fun I guess you should select the style. Which do you prefer? Perhaps you could play both.

I work on the theory that you don't play stuff you really don't like if you have any choice in the matter, and your style develops from there. Once you've got that bit worked out, then I agree with Tim; go put a band together and see where it goes.
