Just looking through some videos and stumbled across this awesome performance!
Aside from Robert being there, this is the type of show Dave puts on all the time............or at least the 6 or 7 times I've gone anyway. :roll:

I don't like dave mathews much, but I think Robert Randolph and the family band is incredible. Didn't think it really showed in this video though.
robert randolph opened for OAR at my tiny farmtown college. Robert even wore an ETOWN tshirt on stage. it was great, i was front row for it all. OAR kicked too, but for some reason Randolph rocking Purple Haze on his pedal steel made me quite happy. i had never heard of him before, so when he came onstage wearing a guitar with the strap around his neck improperly, i was like who the HELL is this guy. then he started playing and i didnt care anymore. i bought his CD on the way out
Randolph is amazing, he opened for Santana when I saw him last fall
