Awww, come on! Where is everyone's sense of humor? I could definitely see that getting a very positive crowd reaction at a live concert. Seems to me it was build as a stage "prop" and is more for visual than tonal effect.
It would have to be a guitarist who doesn't take himself too seriously. Perhaps Nigel Tufnel (spelled that correctly?) from Spinal Tap would buy it.
