It would be a good tune, but hardly worthy of the kind of spirit the Blues has.
Yup, tomorrow morning, I bring an empty box and a resignation letter into work. A place that I loved, but we got bought out and dismantled leaving only key IT geeks (my team) and cs reps behind. A sad day, but one that must happen.
The good news is that this holiday season may not be as hectic as years past. I might even learn a few holiday tunes. Anyone know who wrote that granma got run over song?

This could be a country song :D ( "If We Make it Through December" comes to mind). Sorry to here of your job troubles, I HATE changing jobs!! But being a RN I don't have to worry to much about that, and finding a new job within driving distance from home is not a problem :D --the dog
Why not hold on until they give you a big fat redundancy payout. Far better than quitting and saving them all that cash and they've still got to pay you a salary in the meantime.
Best,

I've got a chord sheet for it at home if you want I'll post it when I get home today.
Hopefully something better will come along to replace this job, till then you got free time to play
Immature? Of course I'm immature Einstein, I'm 50 and in a Rock and ROll band.

I was holding out for the golden handshake. I thought it was going to happen early in '06. Then signs started pointing the other way. I was so bummed. Regardless, I would not have made it past 11/28. Some incredible stuff too gory for a family forum that I am refusing to do. They would have had to make a statement to the rest of the remaining team.
These two quotes straight from the Roy Parker archive of things said to bosses, very recent additions.
"I care more about my batting average than I do of their opinion of me."
"I'd love to pitch in and work 10 graveyard shifts to support 24 hour production, but I don't care..... and I just can't get around that."
Oh, and then there's "Your boss is a &^%$% moron, isn't he?" in reference to the IT VP, and in a sympathetic tone.

I was a shop steward (union rep) in a previous life - well it was over 20 years ago....
Told my boss, at the leaving party, "The good news, for you, is I'm leaving....the bad news, I've got £8000 in my pocket, and I can pick up a gun for £50 in Liverpool....."
I never saw anyone's face change colour as quickly as that.....didn't believe it was possible....and to quote Lynyrd Skynyrd, "Ooh that smell......."
