Slighty off topic, but not too much.

I've decided that I'm buying a mandolin. I've wanted one forever, but I'm getting twice as much student work the summer, so I have some extra money kicking around. With the Canadian dollar doing so well, I figure now is my best chance to get a good deal.

Anyway, I want something decent, but I'm not really picky. I'd like to go used if I could, just to get more for my money. A/E would be nice, but it's not a deal breaker.

I need some suggestions, in like $200-400 USD range.

Musicians Friend's house brand - 'Rogue' has got some pretty nice mandolins (going by the reviews) well inside your price range.

Here is the one which is A/E and has pretty nice comments by the users -

Rogue FM-80E Acoustic-Electric Mandolin

Here is the whole mandolin page. You can click on various ones and compare the prices, features etc yourself.

Good Luck purchasing.

I don't think that it is a very good choice for just starting out and having some fun.

But I am really praying that Ricochet does not turns up here. :!:
