Citizen: Never heard of the James Gang before! I just watched the Walk Away vid... they're pretty good! Although the guitarist's voice sounds a bit annoying to me, but maybe it just needs some getting used to.

About Orange vs. Marshall, hell, it don't matter what they're playing, I'll take either one!

Cnev - cool, didn't think anyone had ever heard of Mic. :D
He was great. As you could probably tell, I was drawn at a young age to that whole Les Paul/
Marshall, muted string power strum of the early 70's 'hard rockers'.
Mic fit right in.
Love the whole Ziggy thing.

Rqalvez - Love RT!
52 Vincent Black Lightning has got to be one of the greatest songs ever!!!!
At least for me.
I love British motorcycles (I had a 71 Triumph Trident) .
And I love red head girls in black leather. (Red hair and black leather, My favorite color scheme :D )
As a song - storied lyrics don't get much better than that.

AK - Sounds like you kinda like the James Gang.
Stick with 'em - they have a variety of sounds. Walk Away was more of their hit.
Delve a little deeper and you'll find some gems.
My favorite album is Rides Again/ Song - The Bomber
That whole album is great though.
That's a very young Joe Walsh on vocals/guitar.
And you gotta love Jimmy Fox on drums.

Marshall vs. Orange - I agree. I would take 'em BOTH!!!!
Although Orange is my favorite color. I love orange juice. And even the word ORANGE....
It just looks cool. I don't know why.

Angel - I've seen JL's band on tv. Not quite my style, a bit muddy for me tonally.
Not bad though.

Well, I guess I would be remiss in my duties if I didn't say that Bob Dylan
belongs here.
We can't just be talking about lead players.
Dylan is actually a fantastic guitar player.

And - I've seen him live a couple of times,
The first time I saw him - he was playin' a lot of the solos.
And pretty well I must say.

Is John Frusciante on here????
He's got to be.

I think that the recorded version of 'I could have lied' off bloodsugarsexmagic has probably the all time
greatest guitar solo in it.

And his rhythm work on stuff like 'under the bridge' is amazing and beautiful.
And Vic, Bro... If you're reading this, check this out and see what JF does w/that sliding C chord!!!! :D

Angel -
I really liked those guys.
So much in fact, that I had to check out their Nazareth/hair of the dog cover.

I wanted to see if the singer could come close to Dan McCafferty's vocals.
No....
Then again, No one can.

Probably best that he doesn't try, I'm just getting my voice back after over-extending my vocals.

I didn't even mind the Olivia Newton John get ups.
And I really dug that (Firebird????) guitar.

They sure did put a lot into that video - multiple camera set-ups.

Thankx for sharin'

LOL. It's pretty raw stuff, but I like that they don't take music too seriously and can have fun with it.

They did a cover of Don't Cha by Pussycat Dolls too.

My God - I think I am going to have nightmares about the lead singer!

They do look entertaining though - a good band to see at a bar and have a good time with them.

I agree with a previous poster who stated there's a major difference between unknown and underrated.

Steve Morse isn't well known outside the guitar community, but he is a MONSTER player.

My vote for THE most underrated would be Ty Tabor.

They aren't unknown. They tour all over Canada and have their own TV show.
