So, you making any?

Mine are pretty simple.....

Give up smoking (like I have done for the past 20 New Year's Resolutions!) at midnight....this time, I'm serious.....

Get a band together....me on rhythm, already got a lead guitarist, need bass, drums and a keyboard player....

Play at the local music festival.....

Go to Texas again.....

Keep writing, keep improving as a guitarist, keep practising bass and learn how to use that Tascam 8-track mixer that's been gathering dust since I bought it.....

Oh and get some sort of life that doesn't involve guitars.....nah, forget I said that....what kind of life would it be if it didn't involve guitars?

Have a good new year....may 2006 be better than 2005, but not as good as 2007....

:D :D :D

1. Play more by ear
2. Improvise lead
3. Keep learning more theory
4. Buy or at least pray for the Gibson Southern Jumbo at my local shop.

Cheers,

Max

I only have one big goal for 2006: get myself past conservatorium entree exams, if I blow that one I might as well skip 2006 altogether. Odds aren't in my favor as far as I can see. The 'smaller' ones:

1) Make it to the UK meeting.
2) Continue to waste money on equipment. (digital piano, 19" EQ, proper multi-effect, ASIO soundcard, you name it)
3) Finish my 'album'.
4) Become somewhat closer to 'friendly'.
5) Start smoking so I can stop smoking later on. :P

Happy newyear in advance everyone!

Me, too, usually!! But....... after this year I intend to live my life for all it's worth!! You don't really realize what's majorly important until someone tells you that you might not be around a whole lot longer. Now that that's over with...........

My New Year's Resolutions are:

1. To be the best friend possible to all of my friends.
2. To tell the people that I care about that I love them on a regular basis, and to let them know how important they are to me.
3. To be more 'tuned in' to my niece and nephews and be a better Aunt to them all.
4. To try to treat my brother-in-law as if I haven't lost all respect for him (even though I have). (This is going to be the most difficult one!)
5. To find the, I almost said 'job', but I want more than a job. I'm going to find something that I love to do and do my best to make my living from that.

I guess, all in all, my New Year's Resolution is to be a better person.

That pretty much sums it up for me as well. And I couldn't have said it any better!

I'd like to also spend more time writing and hanging around Guitar Noise than I did last year. Maybe I'll "see" some folks over at the chatroom again:

And I truly need to find time to practice on a more regular basis.

Life as usual, I guess...

Peace

Guitarin' isn't a job, so don't make it one.

To play more guitar

To lose 14lb/ 6kg's or thereabouts, but only so long as it doesn't involve giving up beer or curry

Best,

1. Read for 15 minutes every day.
2. Reduce my time spent on the computer at home.
3. Ride more motorcycle.
4. Practice guitar scales 5 minutes a day.
5. 4th year in a row, lose some weight.
6. Go to bed earlier in the evening (maybe, have not decided yet).

That's about it. Nothing earth shattering. I'd quit smoking, but my daddy told me to never be a quitter.

If I am just making a wishlist

1. Write one song a month
2. Learn 10 or so Christmas songs
3. Figure out my relationship woes.
4. Pay off most of my bills

That should cover a year.
