It is a "lesson" on practice routines. It is for bass, upright bass, but it can be applied to other instruments as well because the author emphasizes the concepts of "goals" and "plans", not on specific techniques. Not new but very interesting.

I try to follow a similar scheme for my practice but usually I tend to adapt each "slide" depending on the time I can practice. Perhaps the use of timers is a good idea.
The journal is also interesting like a 'plan' and also like a way to review your work. For example, I use it for my running activities and it is very useful.
Nice article. The practice session might be too long for some people though. Between work and everything else I only have about 30 minutes to practice per day during the week. I can usually find more time on the weekends. I guess if you just cut all those times in half it could be a little more manageable.
