Nope, too far of a drive for me, but should be a great show. I saw Prince in Minneapolis in the late 90's, and he rocked! 8) Have fun. :D

Very under-rated guitarist IMHO, apparently he ROCKS onstage - should be a great show! Enjoy it!

:D :D :D

Isn't there usually a prince or two in London?

Prince is an amazing guitar player, and is right up there with the likes of Paige, Hendrix, you name it. I think he has mastered like 25 instruments or something like that, it's nuts.

Anyhow, to get a glimpse of his skills do a youtube search, wait even better- go to this link:

I think I saw it posted on another thread here before.

Thanks Dudes!

Have a great night. I've heard Prince is amazing live.

And holy shiii...at that solo michhill8. Hendrix is flowing through his blood in that solo. Outstanding.

I love Prince and that is extremely tempting. However, last week went to a meatloaf gig and was really dissappointed. Only 3 numbers were quality and even though it was awesome seeing/hearing Bat out of Hell performed live (hairs on the back of my neck stood up) I was really let down.

I'm rather worried that Prince may do the same and I couldn't bear that.

Rahul - Purple Rain is a cracking track and album. When Doves Cry is another great track. Parade and Sign of the Times are also cracking albums but probably if you only 'get' the Prince thing. Have a look around youtube and see what you think.

Rich

P.S. I will probably crumble and buy Prince tickets - I'd never forgive myself if I didn't!

That hall of fame clip is awesome.

I would love to know how he gets a telecaster to sound like that!

Bobblehat - where did you book your tickets from? Ticketmaster only seems to have first 10 row seats available, but they are £235 each

The blurb says he's playing his greatest hits - I don't want to miss that.

I got mine from ticketmaster as soon as they went on sale.

Almost all the dates are sold out but I have heard a rumour that he may be adding a few more dates.A friend of mine was told to keep checking the ticketmaster website regularly because they may also have a few extra tickets to release for the sold out dates.

You could also register with http://www.3121.com and they will be first to know if he adds any extra dates.

Good Luck

Bob.

He's added some new dates; I've just booked tickets for Sunday 16th Sept.

While I can't believe that he'll be 'on it' for the duration of his shows, I do hope he is 'on it' on the 16th - I am a genuine fan* and don't want to be let down!
