Well yes and no. A lot of people out west who like hunting (and a lot in northern ontario) own multiple guns, which is where the number of what...7million guns comes from? It's more that those who have guns have many than many people having guns (at least in my experience). That being said, there has been a recent influx of unregistered weapons associated with jamaican/middle eastern gangs comming into Toronto (you may recall that my buddy was shot recently, it was a middle eastern gang member in this case. He's perfectly fine now and the guy who shot him was caught by the police so all is well save the fact that that guy isn't in jail yet.)
EDIT: Also, we don't have more guns, just more guns per capita I believe.
