anyone have much hands on experience or opinions on the Thin Line, i have 2 guitars i am happy with, however if i were to find one in the next couple years i'm not sure i would be able to pass it up, its just to beautiful. But i was hoping if someone could point out some flaws or at least something to consider before i impulsively buy one.

keep moving foward, keep your head up, and wear that smile proud

Never played one, but the lead guitarist in my former church had one. Beautiful sound to go with the beautiful looks!

Oh, sorry, that doesn't help ... 8)

Hi :D

LOVE Thinline Tele's!

As a matter of fact - The best guitar I ever heard was a Thinline Tele.

Some things to consider;
The 80's MIJ '69 RI's are WAY better than the newer MIM RI's.
They may cost you twice as much tho.... The upshot is that they are fast becoming collectables.

The '69's come in two different body woods: The usual Tele wood - Ash, and Mahogany.
69's have the usual SC tele pup configuration.

The '72 RI's have 2 Fender 'wide range' HB pups, and a Strat Hardtail like bridge.

Personally I prefer the 69's, in natural mahogany.
