One intro riff I still love to play to this day, cuz it's so understated and tasty: ZZ's LaGrange

-=tension & release=-

The intro passage for "Acknowledgment" on A Love Supreme. So beautiful, it could stop crime. To me, it sounds like a sunrise.

At this time I would like to tell you that NO MATTER WHAT...IT IS WITH GOD. HE IS GRACIOUS AND MERCIFUL. HIS WAY IS IN LOVE, THROUGH WHICH WE ALL ARE. IT IS TRULY -- A LOVE SUPREME --. John Coltrane

Many of my favorite has been mention below:

Walk This Way - Aerosmith
Heartbreaker - LZ
Layla - Derek and the Dominoes
Enter Sandman - Metallica

But I also like:
Wanted Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi
Thunderstruck - ACDC

" First time I heard the music
I thought it was my own
I could feel it in my heartbeat
I could feel it in my bones
... Blame it on the love of Rock'n'Roll! "

This is a great post because you get a good into riff in your head and if your in the mood and enjoying it just feels like it's the best ever.
Lately for me it's been:
Sam and Dave - Soul Man
Elton John's - The Bich is Back
Small Faces - Tin Soldier - I always get chills when the guitar kicks in after the piano lick
The Kinks - 20th Century Man
The Allman Brothers - Blue Skies
The Smiths - How Soon is Now
Chuck Berry - Maybellene
and on and on
