Received this beauty last week, a brand new teardrop weissenborn from Lazy River. It's built in mahogany and has a surprisingly smooth and warm sound, actually more so than my standard weiss model.
I'm going to experiment with various tunings, have ordered custom sets for D6 from Newtone but I may end up keeping it in regular open-D or G.

I got a good chance to test it at the lap steel clinics I held in Denmark this weekend (it arrived the day before I left!), and the sound through the PA was the most impressive 'acoustic' sound I've ever had in any of my acoustic instruments (it's a K&K Pure Western system in it).

:)

Do you do your own photography?

Randy - yup, the neck is hollow, just as in Mr. P's "Weissenflop".... ;)
Don't have a sideview of it now, may upload one later.

Demo - yes I do my own photos. It's just a corner of my livingroom that happens to be ideal for instrument "portraits", I've shot all the guitar photos on my website there. It's purely accidental, I'm really not a good photographer though I may have a good "eye" (don't all musicians?).
