Great stuff, Slick! :D
"A cheerful heart is good medicine."
very cool tones, but the long delays sound more surf than rockabilly.
I will call this surfabilly. :)

slapback is what you want for rockabilly.
what you did is fine and sounds cool.
Sun Records recorded the first rockabillies. they split the track, vocal or guitar, having it panned left and right (two tracks). then delayed on track ever so slightly. slapback.
there are delay pedals that do that too.
I noticed on your artist page that you had a stroke. I am also a stroke survivor, but only lost a bit of motor control; sounds like you came to grips with it fairly well, that was a nice track! I am a lap steeler for the most part but am regaining a lot of my accuracy through sheer persistence and practice. Feel free to shoot me a message if you'd like to dialogue sometime; I am interested in how other folks deal with getting back their musical vocabulary after a stroke.
I too was very lucky. I had high Blood pressure and never knew....you know, who needs a doctor? Im not sick!
All I had to do was go for a checkup and the doc could have caught it...gave me meds to lower it. My stroke damaged a 3 cm portion in the right side of my brain. It affected speech, motor control in my left arm and left leg. I have since regained my speech and very little leg and arm control. The most devestating thing for me was not that I limp a little but that I could no longer play guitar. I played since I was 8 years old and was very good. After the stroke I couldnt even fret two strings at a time...still cant...but I can fret one at a time and now I can slide....its like learning all over again. The guys over at Big Road Blues took me in and gave me tips on playing....and here I am now back jamming and having a great time.
Thank God for all the great sliders who helped me go on....you guys and gals are great 8)
