I'm considering adding a Forum to my alumni website. The current webhost is an internal corporate one, and they are nervous about getting hacked.
If I install phpBB in full security mode, should it be safe/stable? Have we (GN) had any troubles?

Never had a security problem due to phpbb. I'd say it is very stable and secure.
