I'm looking at getting a bass speaker bin but there are a lot of option.
Should I have it loaded with one big speaker - 15 or 18" or 2 or 4 smaller 12" speakers.

Is there a rule of thumb on what is best for which sound / style?
Obviously I'm fairly new - my amp is an old 100 watt valve amp I rebuilt, I play a fair mix of country, country rock and some older middle of the road R&R.

Speaker bins? I'm assuming that's what I call a cab (wooden box with speakers in it). I'd go with either the 4x12", or maybe even some ten inch speakers. I don't feel that twelves provide enough high end for me, and especially not a 15". Of course, with your taste in music, that may not be a problem, but it can result in an inferior tone when slapping, which is a big drawback for me. If you just want something warm and round (tonally), I'd recommend the twelves.
