my new bass guitar

i just bought a ibanez gsr 200 gio bass guitar and im having trouble with the finger movements can anyone give me some tips which may help with finger speeds??

You should try playing some scales and a slow tempo, then keep on playing that same scale faster and faster.
You can either pick every note you play, or you can hammer most of the notes.

If you'd like to know another easy way to help you out, you could try playing 1234, over and over on any string, and with this method you'd be able to move it across the whole neck.

Are you new at bass?  It does require a lot of finger strength, and that takes a while to build up.  Danny's exercises are a good way to do that.

Try to work your fingers movement before. Like a walk on the strings. Don't be afraid about playing on slow tempo with two fingers (or as many as you like). Speed will automatically come as you train this way.
