I need a recommendation for a song to learn. Here's the deal:
My daughter and I both play guitar, and have been for a while, so we're not total newbies. My daughter is fairly musically adept and has switched over to playing the bass. She is amazing at figuring out a lot of bass parts by ear. We want to start playing together, and we need a song with both bass and guitar parts to get us going. But we need something fairly easy so we can get our timing down together (yet not necessarily bonehead easy), and something that we recognize and that our family should recognize. Any good recommendations would be appreciated. Any suggestions and/or thoughts on where we can find both the bass and guitar music? Something maybe classic rockish perhaps? :?:

Ever notice that the world "listen" contains the same letters as "silent"?
You could try "Down On The Corner" from the easy song section.....
:D :D :D

Sunshine of Your Love might also fit the bill, especially since you'll both be playing very similar parts. Also the music for this (bass and guitar) are in a lot of books.

Lots of Van Morrison options...
"Get Back" is really straightforward as well.
