A little lower than the guitar in your picture...

For comfort and playability, up high and angled upward, Victor Wooten style:

At the height most comfortable to you, like I do.

This will likely be lower than you'd hold a guitar.

In total agreement with Helgi

It is a small world for metal fanatics. I welcome you fellow musicians, especially the metalheads!

I wear mine lower than electric guitar, so my right arm is almost straight, and tilt it so the headstock is around shoulder level - I don't tend to play much above the 7th fret (yet!) so I go for the comfortable option.

:D :D :D

I think that higher gives me a little more control, especially when finger-plucking.

Lower seems more comfortable, and more fun.

Most times, the neck bolt plate is even with my belt buckle.

I have mine pretty much the same height as Helgi too - Just high enough so that I can pluck the G string comfortably with my arm still just a tiny bit bent, and no higher. The downside to that is that for comfortable slap-pop I have to put my leg up on a chair or something - but I'm not much of a bassist, let alone a slap-popper, so I'm OK with doing that :)

So far it's 5:3 in favor of Ox-style.

I prefer to keep it higher, a little lower than chest level.
