Bass is the foundation on which the music rests both rhythmically and melody wise.

Listening to bass is a pretty cool thing you can do.Mostly, you will hear a song and concerntrate on the lead or rhythm guitar part in it.Now this time, just draw your attention towards the low frequencies of the bass. Its then you come to know how important the role of bass is in a good song.

Only today, i was listening to the 'bass part' in ' (If i could) Change the world' by Eric Clapton and realised that the bass made all the difference in the 'feel' of the song.

I would certainly like to play bass as i acquire one someday...

I bought a bass because I already had an acoustic and an electric.....I like to write and record my own songs, so adding bass to acoustic and electric adds more texture....

It's also a hell of a lot easier to jam along with your favourite songs on bass than it is on guitar....

:D :D :D
