1 - Can anyone reccomend a good book to learn acoustic guitar on?

2 - Does anyone know the strumming pattern for Wonderwall by Oasis?

for number 1 i have no answer. sorry. as for number 2, try looking in the Easy Song Database. there should be a Wonderwall thread and i recall someone explaining the strumming pattern. OR you could try hunting around on the main site (not the forums) for a lesson on Wonderwall. i beleive there is one

Can't help you with the first, but there's a strum pattern for Wonderwall given in the Easy Song Database thread for Wonderwall.

I tend to favor the following strumming pattern for Wonderwall,
with the mid-bar chord changes done on the first upstroke
1-e-&-a-2-e-&-a-3-e-&-a-4-e-&-a-
D-------D-----U---U-D---D-------

It's a little tricky getting the timing at first because of that off the beat bit in the middle, but I think it sounds pretty nice.
