Never heared of 'Drive'. Squiers are good, Yamaha and Dean make good entry-level electrics as well. And indeed, if she really wants to play electrics, have her start that way. It's perfectly possible to start out that way, just make sure she doesn't always practice with a brickwall of distortion.
