A shape Barre

The A shape barre should i use three fingers or one,
slightly stubby finger tips :shock: :shock: ,hinder the use of three.
any pro's or cons to using ring finger to barre the thre strings. :oops:

Use three fingers. You're going to need to do other shapes than just barring with the ring finger. Might as well get used to it now bud. Its tough for everyone at first, but keep workin at it. :)

Learn both. You'll find progressions, where 3 fingers may be less effective than the barre and vice versa. It's all a matter of choice, what works best for you under the specific circumstances.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

Yep 3 fingers, also easier to get to other barre shapes.

Learn both, I find I use different fingerings depending on the chord I'm coming from. I barre the A with my index and it really helped my progress when it came to tackling barre chords, like the full F.
