There can be many and no one can be termed as absolutely right.
I would say , put your headphones on.Turn on the song and play your guitar.That will give you a good feeling of the rhythm.

Hi all
I suggest this pattern
a) first verse you have to strum once a chord (also in parts of the bridge)
b) chorus I play D/du/D/du/D/Du/u/du
c) verse d/du/u/du except when the chord changes half measure where I play a d/du for each chord
