Hey, welcome to GN. I think you're the first one from Egypt. 8) Check out the beginner lessons on this site, starting with Horse with no name.

Welcome to Guitar Noise,
In the future could you please refrain from using abbreviations as we have members from around the world and for some English is not thier native language and they may have trouble understanding what you are trying to say.
Here is a good place to start:

Welcome maged farid hosny!

To start, have you checked out the Lessons page here on GuitarNoise? There are some GREAT beginner lessons there as well as some beginner songs (so you're not playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!).

Also search the forums. There are a TON of great ideas!

Other sites to check out:

Feel free to ask any questions. Everyone here is VERY helpful! I have only been playing for 3 months and everything I have learned is from here!

another problem that seems to be hindering my motivation:
ive tried to play easy songs" i can read tabs" like incubus - i miss you, goo goo dolls - acoustic no. 3, and dave mathews - crash " from the riff in this site", but the sound doesnt seem to come out the same, so leave the guitar and do something else. can you tell why that is.

It is so hard to say why. It can be many things from the way your guitar is set up to your technic.
I suggest you look at the link I gave in my first post in this thread and go through and make sure you have the basics down before trying to play any song.

The link missileman gave you should be the first one you visit.

As for the “Easy Songs for Beginners”. Well, it really isn't as easy as it sounds. You have to have a good foundation under you first before you move on to that stage (Absolute Beginner Pt 1). After you can change between those chords smoothly, then you can move on to Horse with no name.

Knowing the basic chords and switching between them is the most important part in the beginning stages.

Study hard and the rewards will happen sooner than you think.

Have fun, but don't get stressed. There are other things involved too, i.e. calluses and your hand cramping like a SOB. In time it will all be worked out.

Oh, don't throw caution to the wind, when it hurts, take a break. Your guitar will be waiting for you when you get back.

Also: It might not sound quite the same, because the artists you are referring to are using thousands of dollars worth of equipment.

ALSO: Do you know how to tune your guitar? (That could be why it doesn't sound the same.haha)
