Hi. Im having trouble with a song, maybe some of you are familiar with it? Best I ever had - Vertical Horizon.

I'm having a hard time with the strumming in the intro. From what I can hear its

D/D/UDUDD

How can I connect the chords smoothly like the original song?
The chords I got from tab were G-Am7-C2-G-D/F#

From what I hear is it goes D/D on G and UDUDD on D/F#

Appreciate any help I can get. Thank u.
