Yeah, sure, if you can play it. I would think that the notes might come a little early, possibly before the beat if you are not shredding, and not accustomed to this form of attack. I'm wondering also if the notes end early when you de-fret them, leading to early or premature decay. Don't know, just a thought? Anyway, I think that you should be able to sync things up. :?

People tend to form various misconceptions about what type of music can be played on certain types of guitars. Granted different guitars may have certain specs that lend them better for playing certain styles, there is nothing stopping you from playing blues on a scalloped neck. You really dont see many of them though. Malmsteen is about the only one I can think of off the top of my head.
