Need help chugging open chords, I pretty much have the technique down, just need help with the picking pattern.
This is what the tab looks like.

So, would I just want to alternate down and upstrokes. I've got the concept, but I just can't get the rhythm right, maybe you guys can help.
Hi, and welcome to Guitarnoise.
I would just use downstrokes

chugging is best with all downstrokes. use the heel of your picking hand to mute.
it's easy with all downstrokes.
I'm sorry for the confusion, I guess chugging was the wrong term to use. This is supposed to be played really fast (215 bpm) using palm muting. I'm pretty sure this would be hard to play using only downstrokes. With the said, what stroking pattern would you recommend?
They're one-finger power chords. Even at 215 bpm and muted, all downstrokes is the way to go.

chugging works best with all down strokes.
yep. ya gotta speed it up.
you can do it.
it's good for you.
really, down strokes that fast is doable.
work your way up to it.
Yeah, most people like to use all downstrokes, but it's not written in stone. You can still get a good chug with alternate picking.
And 215 BPM is super fast, no way I could do all downstrokes on that. But I realize many can.
The real secret to getting the chug is palm muting. You just need to practice laying the side or edge of your hand across the strings just ahead of the bridge. Experiment by moving forward and back toward the bridge. You will find that spot that sounds just right. It takes lots of practice.
If I were to use an alternate strum, I would probably do it like this.
E --------------------------------------------------
B --------------------------------------------------

d= downstroke, u= upstoke
Hope that spaces correctly.
