Does new/better gear make you a better player???? It Helps!!

Never had any problem practicing on my electric, hours fly by without realising it!

But I DEFINATELY think that getting my new acoustic has made me play acoustic more, mostly due to the fact that anything played on it sounds 10 times better than my old guitar (in terms of tone and general sound). So I agree that getting new equipment motivates you to play MORE in the short term, but in order to play BETTER you need more than just new gear. You need passion and motivation.

And new gear doesn't provide that.

Wanting to sound like your idols and reaching your own goals does. :)
