Finding these quite tricky. My lesson book introduces it using “Scarborough Fair” with a thumb strike followed by an “index” “middle” ring” “middle” “index” pattern.

I seem to have trouble picking the notes fast enough to maintain a proper tempo. I suspect my problem may be that I am taking too much string, although I am trying just to use the edge of the finger. Any suggestion on technique for playing these?

THANKS!
