Finding these quite tricky. My lesson book introduces it using “Scarborough Fair†with a thumb strike followed by an “index†“middle†ring†“middle†“index†pattern.
I seem to have trouble picking the notes fast enough to maintain a proper tempo. I suspect my problem may be that I am taking too much string, although I am trying just to use the edge of the finger. Any suggestion on technique for playing these?

hey dave, iam no expert on this but i know with me i just worked on them at a slow pace and tried to play clean notes with the right finger on the right string.. as much asi hate them you might try the dreded metronome. good luck
