I dont have an extra high e, but i've got an extra b.
I dont have time to go pick up more strings for a little while.
so i was wondering if theres any way to use the b string.
im not sure if it will tune close enough or not.
Yeah, it'll work, done it many times. :D
If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
What guage? If they are light, the B is likely the same size as the E in a heavier guage anyhow. :?

grow big, wear glasses if you need 'em."

yeah, theyre light strings.
Im just not sure how to get it to sound proper. =/
I've done it too. Shouldn't be a big deal.

"If the moon were made of ribs, would you eat it?"
Different strings for different folks....I use 9's on all my guitars, whereas a lot of folks use 10's or 11's. If I broke an E string and didn't have a spare, the Bstring in that set would be an 11 - so it wouldn't be too much of a hardship to use a B instead of an E.
As for tuning - just tune it the same way you would normally!
:D :D :D

Sure, go ahead and use it. I usually purchase strings a few packs at a time and always have some extra's on hand.
They will sell you single strings also , in whatever thickness you ask for .
If I claim to be a wise man , it surely means that I don't know .
