I hope I can explain the trick I'm talking about
This is done a lot by Noel Gallagher at the start of the songs when playing electric guitar
Has a lot of distorsion and he do it like sliding the pick over the 6th or 5th string but I can't figure out. it makes some kind of scream sound from high pitch to the note he's going to play the first.

What pickup? bridge or neck? I have a strat-like guitar
Try sliding up and down the string with the side of the pick.
