been nearly 2 years the chords and changes are now a
lot faster and smoother the scales patterns are more
fluent still a long way from good, but this is now where
my problem starts how do i progress to playing the blues
using backing tracks etc any tips or pointers would be most helpful
as i said i`m not a natural thanks :?

I am just getting started jamming with the computer downloads so I cant help you with that level.
but I would recommend learning some songs all the way through. I learn from playing with CDs.
learning songs will chalenge your speed, timing, and help develop a feel for playing.

another thing that would be great is to start playing with others. you will find youraself out of your comfort area and digging deep, real deep, to find the things you all ready know...or think you know.

playing the blues is wonderful. first thiong is to understand how they are typically laid out...twelve measures (bars) with set beats for the chord changes. once you know that pattern you can start working out fills, little licks, etc.
