how often should I replace my strings

I change my strings everytime I have to replace the battery in my distortion pedal. which is about once a month. :)

interesting schedule. but there really isnt any relation between string life and battery life.

or my life and yours for that matter.

I generally believe people leave strings on way too long.
about once a month would be a good average time.
