for those of you getting irritated by this topic i apologise....however my question is; if strumming on the electric guitar acoustically are you meant to hear the low 6E string rattle against the frets as its slightly loose...however if i was to tune it up again by the time reached 6E again on tuner its very tight to point of breaking..help!

It might hit the frets if the action is too low (or something else is setup wrong). Also, are you sure the tuner is good? I had a heck of time tuning my guitar a first...turned out the tuner was whacked.

Maybe you could take the guitar into a shop to have it looked at if you can't solve it.

All I want is food and creative love.

Try downloading this PC based tuner and see if you get the same readings. http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/AP_Guitar_Tuner/

It is quite possible that the action is off if you are in tune and the low E is hitting the frets somewhere. Just for the heck of it tell me what the distance is between the bottom of the string and the top of the 12th fret wire with nothing fretted. Hopefully you have a ruler that is in 1/64 or 1/32 increments to measure it.

Better check the neck relief while you are at it. Use the info on Nils's page.

Numbers and pitch go 'up' the neck towards the bridge. I know it seems counter-intuitive, but convention follows the pitch.

Don't measure from the bridge, measure from the top of the fret wire to the bottom of the string. It should be in 1/32nds of an inch increments. Or milimeters.
Action is the height of the string off of the fretboard. Neck relief is the curvature of the neck.
Nice guitar, I'm sure you'll get it working right eventually.

Should be 1.5 to 1.6mm. That is if I converted it right.

correct me if I am wrong.
when tuning a standard is 440 um.... kilo hertz?

I know 440 is right.
a chromatic tuner can show this number.

Ive just discovered this when beginning pedal steel playing and tuning.
