I know chords and stuff for the acoustic guitar (I dont know how to read tabs) and when I find chords for a song I like I never know how to strum it! When I first took lessons my instructor just told me for each song.. like Green Day's Time of Your Life I play it down down-up up-down up... haha does anyone else play like this? If anyone has any tips on how to pick these up from a song cuz im really bad at that.. or if you know the pattern for songs like Sister Hazel's "Best I'll Ever Be" or Kelly Clarkson "Behind These Hazel Eyes" Wow taht would be so great.. haha thank you to anyone who can help!!!

I am also a beginner, no lessons, just a burning interest.
I too find the strumming hard, but I think (or hoping) that it'll some day just say "click" and I'll strum the song in a nice way without overthinking it.
