I have just come back from a long holiday (6 weeks - one of the perks of teaching) and I took my cheap guitar with me as I was a bit worried about the journey.
I left my good guitar in a case on a stand and when I came back it had white splotches on the fretboard that i assume is mould, It's very humid where i live).
Has anyone had this problem before? Any tips on what to use to get rid of it?

How humid is it where you live?!! Are the patches fuzzy? I would use a very diluted mix of bleach and water then go back with a good quality fingerboard conditioner.
