having been inspired by the last night of the proms, i was wondering if anyone knew how to play the "sailors hornpipe" song? i don't know if that's its real name but it sounds good and i wanna play it!! so if anyone knows what song i mean... it's the one that they play faster and faster and usually the crowd joins in with a horn. if your not familiar with the proms you might not know what i'm talking about :D but just on the off chance...

Here's a whole bunch of those flatpickin' style songs, Sailor's Hornpipe included. This arrangment is in D. http://www.flatpick.com/flatpickjam/index.html

I used to do that first hornpipe with my bluegrass buddies in the 70s. The arrangement is slightly different, but the basic tune is the same.
