scales and arpeggio

How should you use scales in your practice just learn the sequence and the notes back to front ?

Also what are arpeggio's ? What are the used for ? What are sweep arpeggio ?

Scales, yes learn them front to back and IMO learn where the notes are on the msuical staff as well.
It will help with sight reading, finger aim, dexterity and speed on both hands. And you will learn where all the notes are on the fretboard. Scales are good.
Appegio is a chord that is played one note at a time instead of strumming.
Used alot in music, Take The Animals version of House of the Rising Sun for example.
Sweep Appegio (not sure but i am thinking) a slow strum of a chord where individual notes can be heard.
I kind of do it when I play House of the Rising Sun. I pick the bass note then slowly downstrum the rest of the chord. I then up pick the first 3 strings one note at a time.
