I recently aquired an Ibenez Cimeron that had no strings on it for $30.
I have it strung with ernie ball 11s and have it playable.
What im wondering is about setting my truss rod and if changeing my tremlo
to a floyd rose or something with a locking style tuning would be in my
best intrest. or should i just make it playable and trade up for the strat that i
want but cant afford. My actions a bit high up around the 12th fret now but
if i lower my string height i get fret buzz.
thanks

Z

leave it as is. I dont think it is worth the upgrades.
save up for your dream ax and use the Ibanez as your backup.

Just get a setup, leave the rest as it. Then keep it and save up for the strat.

well its kinda a toy to mess with. The body is way light and i get alot of neck flex.
Or so it seems.Custom was the first ax I bought when i desided i really wanted to play.
i also have an ibenez accoustic and a 54' gibson L4 thats sweeeeeeeeeeet.
Really want a strat though. Trying to connect with stevie ray and feel the universe
for everything my fingers can relay.i feel the need to make my guitar weep and sing
cant seem to get what im looking for though.
