If you were to learn to read music then many songs would be playable without hearing them first.

I just borrowed my brother's electric guitar and I'm kinda looking for fun and not-too-hard songs also..

I always played the classical guitar but now that I have the elctric I want some songs that rock ( not too heavy , stuff like "keep on rocking in a free world" ). If anyone has some suggestions?

Grungy

Given your name, have you thought of trying some Nirvana songs?

Some are pretty darn easy, three or four power chords and you're away.

Just a thought...

I often download a song or two if I want to learn it and don't want to buy an entire CD. There are a number of sites where you can buy a song for a buck or so. (I usually use buy.com myself).

grungy,

have you considered downloading the powertab software?
it lets you download songs, view the tab and notation and uses midi playback to let you listen along.
i find it very useful for practicing along with as you can slow the songs down to help nail them correctly. give it a try :)

download the software here:
http://www.power-tab.net

and the songs here:

This is my signature. Fear it.

Check Amazon.com for a book by Hal Leonard called The Ultimate Guitar Songbook. It has over 100 songs with the complete standard notation to each, with many different skill levels.
