I always dreamed of 6 differently coloured strings on my guitar.
I'm pretty sure I remember somebody selling steel strings that were all different colors a few years back. Wouldn't work on your classic, though.

What makes me think Iz has already done research on this topic?

Isn't it surprising how "computer research" quickly turns to "online shopping"?

A quick follow up now that I've used the Blue Steels for a few weeks: they eat picks! Delrin ("Tortex") and celluloid both get worn down and shredded by these steel strings after just a few days.

Not bad! I was imagining something tacky but those blue strings actually look good. And they're DR's so they'll probably sound good too.
I think I'll avoid them on my (brown sunburst) Strat, though... :)
Very cool indeed!

I love the sound of DM Blue Steel on all of my bigger acoustics. They seem to balance well with the greater bass response of a dread or jumbo. I can't really stand them on parlor or concert acoustics as they seem too bright. I've tried turning down the tone knob, but when you aren't plugged in it doesn't have much effect. :D

Look at this luuuuuurvely blueburst guitar whith its sexxxxxxy blue strings :D
I use DR red devils 11-50. They are coated, look good, and last 3-4 months. Let us know later how long those last for you...
